All "American Girl"

When Riley was about 4 months, we started attending gymboree play and music. It's a once a week class for you and your little one, to connect not only with each other, but other babies and moms that are going through the same exact things. You sing songs and learn baby massage, and play with all kinds of stimulating objects! Once you progress you get to explore all the colorful obstacles, and dance and play baby soccer...it really is fun!

So now to the point of this story.....I met some really wonderful girls through that class. We all had baby girl's that were the same age (they are all within weeks of each other) and we all became very close!! We started a playgroup that we still have every other week, we all take swim class together, some attend mommy's day out together, and go to story time at the library and attend music class. These women have become some of my greatest friends, and their daughters are Riley's best friends, they all love each other so much!

Today we took the girls to the American Girl store in Dallas!! Talk about a little girls dream come true! WOW! I mean to tell ya this place has it all, I even saw a doll with floaties on.....and the dolls don't even go in the water! It was pretty amazing! There was a wait at the "salon".....were talking about a hair salon for dolls people. So needless to say I have created a monster.....baby Kate joined our family today (yes, Riley choose her name) and I have a feeling she will be around for a long time!
We had such a wonderful time eating lunch, and chatting and watching the girls nurture their little ones as we do them! Isn't it amazing that the maternal instinct is there at such a young age? I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends in my life! Thanks for a great play day, I'm sure we will all be back soon.....you know someone's doll is bound to need their hair done! ;)
